Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope is set to miss most of the remainder of the season after dislocating his shoulder.

It was decided that Pope would have to go through an operation on his shoulder.

Nick Pope was substituted against Manchester United on December 2, 2023, towards the end of the game after he dived, trying to save Sergio Regulion's shot from outside the box.

With Nick Pope not available for action in the next four months, Newcastle will have to lean on Martin Dubravka and Loris Karius.

The last time the 31-year-old goalkeeper suffered a shoulder dislocation was in 2018, while he was at Burnley.

He was out for a minimum of six months before returning to action.

The English goalkeeper was in brilliant form at the beginning of the season, throwing himself to the ground and pulling brilliant saves against Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Due to his performance before suffering the horrible injury, the goalkeeper was recalled to the England national team.

Two Goalkeepers That May Replace Nick Pope in the January Transfer Window

There are rumors that the club are looking forward to signing players in the January transfer window.

It was revealed that Newcastle are looking forward to bringing David De Gea to St. James Park.

The goalkeeper had been out of work since he was released by Manchester United last season, despite agreeing to a pay cut on his wages.

The Arsenal goalkeeper is struggling to make it into the squad, with David Raya making most of the appearances this season.

In a bid to make the England squad for Euros 2024, Ramsdale will accept any offer that comes from Newcastle.

He does not want to become a second goalkeeper under Mikel Arteta for the season. Ramsdale does not want to fight for his place in the squad.
