The online space has been filled with several reactions since yesterday when the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced singer Naira Marley as their new ambassador for a new drug abuse campaign.

This took Nigerians by surprise as the singer was seen posing in photos with the NDLEA chairman Gen. Buba Marwa at their office yesterday.

The body just launched a new campaign called War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) and the singer declared his full support for the movement.

The singer addressed the youths in a video urging them to desist from abusing drugs and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

"I'd like to urge my fans, the Marlians, and all the Nigerian youths to stop doing drugs because it's not good for your well being. Let us stop substance abuse in any form.", he said.

This appeared shocking to everyone because Naira Marley has sung about drugs. He has been seen smoking online and in public severally. He even posted online last year that no one should be imprisoned for smoking weed.

However, Nigerians have reacted heavily to this new development saying Naira Marley isn't fit to be an advocate for drug abuse.
