Ogun Police arrest a suspected cultist for murder and robbery
The officers of the Ogun state police command have arrested a suspected cultist In the state. This suspect has been identified as Lukman Shonubi, who is also known as Tinny.This man has confessed to killing nothing less than six people.
The police were able to track him down and arrest him after which he then confessed to the killings. He is suspected to be the leader of the Eiye Confraternity. The police had been investigating him long before they arrested him.
It was the state command who through the spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, that revealed that this arrest came after Intel was given by the So Safe Corps in the state.
They got to know that this man had been causing a scene at an event so that he could distract some victims and Rob them. The officers then went to the event and arrested him. The spokesperson revealed that the So Safe Corps informed the police about the victims operations at the event and they apprehended him.
Other than the lives he had taken, he also confessed to the theft of some phones, handbags, an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card, cash of about N300,000 and power bank. He also confessed to the robbery to a supermarket where he had robbed a woman at gunpoint.
The police raided his house and were able to recover a locally made gun.
The police have revealed they are working towards locating the members of his gang to arrest them too.
