Ogun Senator’s senior aide shot to death in Lagos state
A senior aide to the senator who is representing Ogun West in the National Assembly, has been shot dead.
This victim has been identified as Mr Adeniyi Sanni. He was a senior aide to the senator who is Mr Solomon Adeola.
It was the spokesperson for the senator, Kayode Odunaro, who revealed this recently. He revealed this in a statement in Abuja.
He shared that this incident occurred yesterday morning, Saturday.
They discovered the dead body of this man around Toyota bus stop in Oshodi, Lagos State. The body was discovered with bullet wounds and had been dumped in that area.
He revealed that the deceased had been stopped by some security operatives at a checkpoint on his way home at Isheri. This was in the Berger area of the state.
The victim had earlier phoned his wife to request for the details of his vehicle papers when he was at the checkpoint. The security men asked for the vehicle documents of the car and he asked his wife to send it by WhatsApp.
He shared that the wife was concerned when she was unable to reach him again on the phone. She then received a phone call from Someone who revealed that they discovered her husband’s body.
When the senator was informed of Thus News, he expressed his shock and sadness over such an incident.
The case is being investigated by the Nigerian police force. More details to come latter
