Ondo Deputy Gov denies allegations of assaulting his wife.
The Deputy governor of Ondo state Lucky Ayedatiwa has denied the allegations of assault on his wife.
He claims he has never raised his hands against his wife whose name is Oluwaseun.
This is coming after allegations had been made against him regarding the assault of his wife.
Recall he had been accused by a civil society group known as Society for Women Empowerment (SWE).
They had accused him for assaulting his wife 2 times within the last 4 months.
Mrs Damilola Charles who is the National Coordinator of the group, released a statement in akure recently.
She accused him of beating his wife in front of his friends and staff.
She revealed that this is a serious problem of civil rights and this issue of violence against women should also be applicable to politicians who have been elected.
The deputy governor has come out to deny such claims and says he hasn't raised his hands against his wife since they got married.
He went ahead to describe the allegations of this group as baseless.he said their intentions are ungodly and such a report can create a crisis in the state.
His wife lives and works outside of the country and she shuffles between the UK and Nigeria.
They reported that the timeliness of 4 months which was given in the allegations was false as the deputy governor was busy with official duties within that time.
