Our fans should do better, Victor Osimhen tells Nigerians dragging his colleague
Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has urged Nigerians to be considerate in how they express their anger over the defeat of the Super Eagles at the AFCON 2023. He said that the fans need to do better as regards how they troll his colleague, Alex Iwobi, on social media over his performance at the AFCON final. Osimhen said constructive criticism is allowed but cyberbullying is a wrong approach taken by the fans.
He added that Alex has been having a mental breakdown for the past 2 weeks due to all the trolling but his team has stood in solidarity to support one of theirs. He said they have each taken turns to console him and he believes Alex is a strong dude. He urged Nigerians to stop cyberbullying because not everyone is mentally strong enough to take in all the hateful remarks concerning their performance.
