Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has fired president Tinubu over his alleged fake CSU results, saying people who forge certificates cannot do the right thing.
Peter Obi stated this during an interview with Arise TV on Sunday, 1st of October. He said the way and manner through which a leader comes into office is more fundamental than what they do when they are already elected.
He stated, "It is important for people to come through the right door and not through the window and say, 'let's move on and clean it up'. We're challenging the process and that has to come to a logical end before any other thing.
Peter Obi said honor and integrity are the two salient things which a society is built upon. He said there is a lot of falsification like age and academic records currently going on in the Nigeria political scene and that isn't good morally.
The former Anambra State governor mentioned the richest personalities in the world like Bill Gates saying they had a poor and rough background but they later made it to the top.
He said most of these people didn't go to school therefore this shows that a person's educational background doesn't matter but everyone should be honest in what they do.
He added, "You don't need to have all the degrees in the world to be great but you need to be honorable about your past so we can know who exactly you are."
