Police arrest 3 bloggers behind Gistlover blog over cyberstalking

The police have arrested 3 men who are the bloggers behind Gistlover blog. These 3 men were arrested due to Cyberstalking. It was the National Cybercrime Center of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), who made the arrest of these 3 guys. This was based on a petition by a woman who has been identified as Mrs Seye Oladejo. They were arrested over alleged conspiracy, cyberstalking, and threat to life.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who is the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force has released a statement concerning this. They revealed the names of the suspects and they are Adebukola Kolapo (27 years old), Nnedum Micheal Somtomchukwu (25 years old) and Isaac Akpokighe (30 years old). They are all members of the Gistlover Family. They are in charge of managing the fanous Gistlover blog. The Police spokesperson further revealed that the blog is known for cyberstalking, incitement, blackmail, and sundry over the years. After their arrest, they confessed their involvement in these crimes and the degrees. Adebukola Kolapo, the first suspect was known as Omo oba Gistlover. He was responsible for scouting, editing and captioning the contents that are shared on the blogging platform. He also played a part in laundering money that was gotten through illegal means.

The other suspects were also responsible for reposting the defamatory content on their social media pages. They also posted life-threatening cotent against some Nigerians on their blog. Digital forensics was carried out and they were able to recover four gistlover pages created by Isaac Apkokogho, one of the suspects. The spokesperson has stated that the suspects will be charged to court after the investigation has been concluded. They also warned the public of forming any partnerships with them.
