Proof of arrest: Iyabo Ojo digs out old video of NDLEA arresting Mohbad
On the 7th of October 2023, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) released a statement denying the allegations that the agency arrested the late Mohbad in 2022.
However, the proof of the arrest has been dug out by Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, one of the concerned individuals advocating for justice for the late Mohbad. Since the demise of the singer, videos have surfaced the internet acting as evidence that the agency arrested and harrassed Mohbad. Infact, the late singer said it in a short video that some of the NDLEA officials coerced him into drinking a white substance from a bottle.
But to the surprise of many, the NDLEA keeps denying the allegations and stood their grounds. They said, "We wish to categorically state that Mohbad was never arrested neither was he ever detained in the custody of the NDLEA on the said date or any other date before or after. The foregoing being the case, the issue of giving him any substance to drink does not arise."
Why is the NDLEA denying the arrest of Mohbad? What exactly could they be hiding? Now, Nigerians are sensing that the NDLEA needs to be scrutinized for they are surely hiding something.
