Ligue 1 giants PSG are preparing a record contract offer to lure Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, reports claim.

The French champions are hoping to sign Marcus Rashford as a replacement for soon-to-leave star Kylian Mbappe.

Kylian Mbappe told PSG he will not sign a new contract on Tuesday with the report becoming public knowledge on Thursday.

Close sources reveal PSG, who built the club around Kylian Mbappe, have been making plans to restructure the team by signing some players, including a replacement for the Real Madrid-bound star.

Marcus Rashford has been identified as a top target to stand in for Mbappe with the club ready to splash a mega offer for the player.

Rashford has three years remaining on his Manchester United contract after signing a new lucrative five-year contract with the club in 2023.

The England international penned down the new lucrative contract when he was at the peak of his Old Trafford career last season, registering his all-time highest goal tally for United with 30 goals in 56 appearances for the club.

This season, he has been the shadow of himself and has struggled in front of goals. He has scored a paltry 5 goals in all competitions for Manchester United so far.

Despite his dwindling fortunes at Old Trafford, PSG are still targeting him as priority striker signing to replace Kylian Mbappe.

The French giants had been on the trail of the player since last season when they contacted the player's representatives for a move.

Rashford is still considered integral to Erik ten Hag's Man United squad despite his slack in form. It would be difficult for United to sanction a sale of the player but he is not entirely untouchable with Sir Jim Ratcliffe intent on balancing United's wage books and clearing underperforming players.
