Real Madrid are advancing on the move to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG.

With the January transfer window closed, Mbappe is apparently edging close to his PSG exit. It is understood he has refused to sign a new contract with the club and is edging close to what will be a groundbreaking transfer exit from Parc des Princes.

Real Madrid have been in the picture since 2021 trying to sign Kylian Mbappe but lost out in the final minutes when the player decided to sign a new three-year contract with the club.

A recent update shared by Fabrizio Romano has revealed the La Liga giants are now back to gear in their move for Kylian Mbappe. According to the transfer guru, 'Real Madrid are advancing' in the move for Kylian Mbappe for Kylian Mbappe but nothing has been done yet.

Fabrizio Romano also adds PSG hierarchy are yet to be informed of Mbappe's decision to leave but the club have made plans to sign a young striker to replace him should he decide to leave.

Meanwhile, Le Parisien reported earlier that Mbappe has finally taken a decision to leave PSG at the end of the season but is yet to communicate the same to the club, as per Fabrizio Romano. This means PSG are still hopeful of keeping the player despite all signals pointing to the contrary.

Recall that Mbappe issued a press statement reiterating his commitment to the remaining months of his contract with PSG. He also added he will take a decision on PSG when the time comes but will not be under pressure to do so.
