Rivers police recover human skull during operation in Rivers state
Officers of the River state Police command have rescued some abducted victims in River state. These officers also recovered a human skull and some other ammunition from this operation recently in the state.
It was Mr Emeka Nwonyi who is the state Commissioner of Police who revealed this information.
This incident had happened in the 30th of June, 2023.
He said that it was the operatives who were on patrol along the King Perekule Junction, GRA, Port Harcourt, who intercepted these men. They were then able to rescue these victims who had been abducted.
The men had been tipped off about this operation which the bandits were carrying out in this area and they intercepted them. These men had been patrolling this area, King Perekule Street, when they got the tip.
One of the rescued victims revealed that these bandits had shot at their car tyre and kidnapped them into their own vehicle.
Other than rescuing these victims, the police recovered a human skull during another operation in Ozuoha, in Ikwerre LGA.
They had trained some kidnappers to their den and raided the place. This was also based on a top off which the police had gotten.
They got information that there was a man who keeps human skulls and uses them to give oaths to his victims so that they won't reveal his identity.
They were then able to recover two AK-47 rifles, a pump-action, and human skull.
