Rwandan President Paul Kagame has declared that all Africans are now permitted to visit Rwanda without a visa.

The president announced this at the 23rd Global Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
"Any African can get on a plane to Rwanda whenever they wish and they will not pay a thing to enter our country.", Paul Kagame declared. The president stated that African countries should learn to market themselves because they are the future of global tourism.
Kagame said Africans must work closely with one another to continue to develop the continent into a premier destination for global travel.
He added, "We should not lose sight of our own continental market. Africans are the future of global tourism as our middle class continues to grow at a fast pace in the decades to come.
We must work closely together with partners, like the WTTC, to continue developing Africa into a premium destination for global travel."
This bold move by President Kagame is to promote tourism and international trade within Africa and other parts of the world. This will in turn, bring a positive change in the outlook of the continent and improve the economic system of African countries.
Rwanda is the fourth African country to declare travel visa-free for all Africans after Benin Republic, Seychelles and The Gambia. Few days ago, Kenya also announced its plans to lift travel restrictions for all Africans starting from 2024.
