Some reports state that the singer slumped and died at his home this morning
Tje family of departed gospel musician Sammie Okposo have confirmed his death.
A statement was issued by the representative of the family who is by name Hector Okposo, to confirm the death of Mr sammie.
The statement read that he ‘‘slept and went to be with the Lord’’ on the morning of Friday.
"More details about the burial will be communicated soon. We are consoled because we know that he is with Jesus singing with angels.
“We kindly request that the family is allowed to grieve peacefully at this time,”
Sammie Okposo was a Nigerian gospel artist born on the 30th of May 1971.
Okposo was also a music producer and a psalmist.
Okposo had collaborated with many other artists or musicians.
Okposo was also a soundtrack producer in the Nigerian movie industry. This was the official start of his career as a producer. He then switched to making music.
