So-Safe corps rescues abducted woman in Ogun state


The So-Safe Corps have rescued an abducted woman in Ogun state recently. This Corps is a security outfit owned by Ogun state.

They rescued his woman who has been identified as Mrs Abiola Efunbote. He was kidnapped earlier by some suspected gunmen.

They abducted her last Thursday and this was in Ijebu-Ode. She had been returning from the market. She was taken by these criminals.

The Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Soji Ganzallo, released a statement to confirm this news. He released this statement through the spokesperson of the Corps Moruf Yusuf.

They mentioned that the office had charged Ijebu Zonal Command on the 13h of July to rescue this woman.

He revealed that these kidnappers had collected the phone of the victim as well her her gold jewellery, her ATM and a sum of N100,000 which was in her possession. They then drove her away in her own car.

The Special Squad was mobilized to look for these men and deal with them.
After a long search they could eventually locate these kidnappers because they had been trying to move the victim to a different location.

He said the team had some issues with location so they couldn't catch up with the kidnappers but they later got Intel of some strange footprints on a farmland which is located at Oke-Ako Community in Ijebu-Ode LGA.

They had then caught up with them but engaged in a gun battle before they could subdue these kidnappers.
They were able to arrest a suspect who has been identified as Tunde Salami who is 32 years old.

He arrested him alive and then rescued the victim unhurt.
He shared that they were able to recover a locally-made pistol from this suspect.

They have transferred both the victim and the suspect to the police in the Obalende division for more investigation.
