Laycon put out a tweet yesterday saying he cannot believe some group of Nigerians who are praying tirelessly for the current Nigerian president Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fail because he isn't their preferred candidate.

Since the election tribunal affirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 elections, the opposition camp known as The Obidients have been agitating for a change in government because they still believe Peter Obi won the election.

Laycon also said he believes Nigerian leaders are a perfect reflection of who the common Nigerians are. He said it is bad people who become bad leaders and not the way round. He said, "The everyday people who make life hard for everyday people need to only be in power for them to become leaders"

Laycon spoke about the POS attendants who increased the price of their services during the Naira scarcity. He also mentioned the fuel attendants who hide under the girl subsidy removal to make life hard for the common man. He said, "If they become leaders, what would they do?"

This tweet has reached 2.3 million views and garnered several reactions and comments of most people disagreeing with what Laycon said. They said instead of blaming the people, he should blame the government instead.
