After coach Jurgen Klopp announced his exit from Liverpool, the Reds will also witness the departure of director Jorg Schmadtke in the coming week, which indeed signals that a revolution is on the horizon for the club.

Jurgen Klopp's backroom staff of Pep Lijnders, Vitor Matos, and Peter Krawietz will also exit the Merseyside-based club in July 2024.

Liverpool appointed Jorg Schmadtke on June 1, 2023, and his stay at Anfield will come to an end on February 1, 2024.

The coming months appear to be a defining one for the Reds, who will witness the departure of several key individuals at the club.

Schmadtke will leave Liverpool following the decision of Jurgen Klopp to exit the team at the end of the campaign, having been a close ally of the German tactician.

It is expected that the Reds go into the upcoming season with virtually new individuals in key areas of the team, notably; the sporting director role, head coach, and backroom staff.

It will be interesting to see how Liverpool transition through this phase and come out, either unscathed or scathed.

Many big teams have also gone through such a phase and have been left with thorns, while others bounce back to bigger heights.

Manchester United also witnessed much shake-up when Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013, with David Moyes coming in with his backroom staff.

David Gill, who was chief executive of the English club for many years, also exited the role in 2013, and as such, it became an herculean task for the team to battle through this phase without bruises.

Anyway, 11 years on, Manchester United haven't gotten back to the immense heights they reached during the spell of Sir Alex Ferguson.

AC Milan also suffered a similar fate as Manchester United for many years, with the team failing to compete squarely as they did in years past.

Thankfully for the club, they appear to have gotten back on track, having won the 2021/22 Serie A title.

Chelsea have also been in equal conundrum since the exit of Roman Abramovich, and their fall has been rapid and troubling.

The arrival of Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali was expected to signal progress for the team, however, it hasn't been so.

They have failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the dispensation of the new owners, likewise failing to win any trophy whatsoever.

Anyway, Liverpool have a lot of work to do in the coming months to ensure that they don't go the route of these teams and they can take a cue from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, who are still trudging ahead even in moments when they transition.

The Reds will be aiming to end this season on a high, winning top trophies, which will be a great send-forth for these individuals, particularly Jurgen Klopp.
