Stop submitting your music to the Grammy organizers, media personality Adesope advises Nigerian artists

Nigerian media personality Adesope has advised Nigerian Afrobeats artists to stop submitting their songs for Grammy. He said that the Grammy organization had no clue about the African culture and claimed there was some rigging in the process. He stated that the Grammy organizers already knew that Nigerian singers wouldn't be awarded for the categories they were nominated for. Therefore, they used them to market the Grammy Awards to gain more traction on their pages.

He found it highly ridiculous that when Tyla's "WATER" won the award for Best African Music Performance, the Grammy band was busy playing Fela Anikulapo's WATER. To him, that shows how confused and clueless they are about the songs that were nominated in each category. He said, "If you wanna know about an organization that has no clue, the Grammy has no clue. NONE. It has nothing to do with us. They have no clue. They know nothing about our culture. And there's not...we shouldn't be wasting our energy there."

Adesope Olajide is a Nigerian UK-based media personality, podcaster, and talk show host. The 46-year-old hosts the Afrobeats Podcast where he invites Afrobeats artists to share their stories and experiences as a singer.
