suspected cultists, traffic robbers and impersonators arrested in Lagos


Some suspected robbers cultists and impersonators have been arrested Iagos State recently. These men had been arrested in different parts of Lagos.

It was the Police Command in Lagos State who revealed that the arrested 32 suspects. This number includes 17 cultists, 13 robbers in total and 2 impersonators.

The police revealed that they made all these arrests in one week.

It was the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who released the total number of all the suspects involved.

He mentioned this on Thursday while parading the suspects at the police command’s headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.

He revealed that 2 of these suspect belong to a gang of impersonators who use police uniform to kidnap young men driving flashing cars. They would label as them Yahoo Boys and stop them.

They had also arrest 2 others who pretended to be traffic warden in Oshodi. These men had attempted to arrest a woman for alleged traffic offence.

The woman then raised alarm and these men were arrested while others escaped.

He revealed they have been searching for them for a long time after receiving a video of their activities. He appreciated the man who sent out this video and urged other people to note this.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) revealed that this video showed a man who claimed you be a lawyer had called peoples attention to a gang who has been impersonating the police to arrest Yahoo Boys.

The man said his client was a victim to this. The gang members had taken him into their car and drove him around lagis for 6 hours they diktat take him to a police station and eventually searched him, collected his phome and the money in his account.

They made him call a bureau de change to transfered this money which was over 2m. They had forced him a gun point

The command spokesperson, Hundeyin has assured people they are doughnut all they can to apprehended these people.
