Sylvester Oromoni's father rejects coroner's judgment
The father of late Sylvester Oromoni who was allegedly poisoned and bullied to his death in school has rejected the coroner's judgement passed on the case. Today, the 15th of April, the Coroner Magistrate, Mikhail Kadiri, ruled the cause of Sylvester's death to be medical and parental negligence. He opined that the 12-year-old boy died from an untreated enlarged liver and not from consuming a poisonous substance from school. The Magistrate faulted both Sylvester's parents and their family Doctor, Henry Aghogho, for the negligence.
However, Sylvester's father rejected the judgment while speaking with the newsmen. He opined that the judgment "does not represent the true procedure of the evidence taken" and he is not relenting on the case. He promised to consult his Lawyer to know the way forward and how to re-approach the case so his late son would get the justice deserved. Sylvester was a junior student at Dowen College, Lagos State before he passed away.
