The Tambuwal Campaign Organization has explained why Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal chose a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, in the People's Democratic Party presidential primaries on Saturday.

Following Tambuwal's resignation, Atiku won the election with 371 votes, defeating his close rival, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, who received 237 votes. Daniel stated in a statement on Monday that Tambuwal stepped down as a result of his patriotism for Nigeria's advancement.

According to the statement, "Tabuwal's decision to withdraw from the race, despite the fact that he was the most likely to win the ticket, was influenced by a strong love for Nigeria and the party in particular."

We want our throngs of followers to understand that we made this decision with patriotism in mind, putting our expensive country, Nigeria, and our party, the PDP, ahead of our private ambition, which we have repeatedly stated is inferior to the U.S.A. large interest.

As the PDP prepares to defeat the APC in the upcoming day-to-day elections in February 2023, he advises the Wazirin Adamawa to run an inclusive marketing campaign that will unite the birthday event and the United States.

His Excellency also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman of his campaign council for his outstanding leadership, the entire crew and all delegates, as well as his legions of supporters across the United States for their unwavering support before, during, and after the convention.

He prayed for God's understanding and victory for the PDP as it works to free Nigeria from the mismanagement of the APC-led administration.
