  • Tencent posted earnings that beat expectations thanks to its gaming business as well as better-than-expected performance in both advertising and fintech services.
  • Tencent's revenue totaled 108 billion Chinese yuan ($15.2 billion), up 26% year-on-year.
  • The company said hit smartphone titles "Honor of Kings" and "Peacekeeper Elite" helped its gaming unit grow and offset a decline in PC game revenue.
