The US Coast Guard has confirmed the death of the five Titanic tourists due to the implosion of the submarine yesterday.

A company named OceanGate began selling tickets to people to dive into the depths of the ocean to see the world's most famous shipwreck and grave site, The Titanic. The company charged a whopping sum of 250,000 dollars for any passenger who was ready to go on this voyage.

On Sunday, 18th June, OceanGate began the journey to this risky zone in a group of 5 in a submarine called the Titan. On board were a billionaire and world record holder named Hamish Harding, one of the wealthiest people from Pakistan, Shazhada Dawood and his 19-year-old son, a submarine pilot, Paul-Henry Nargeolet, and the CEO of OceanGate Stockton Rush.

After about an hour and a half into the waters, OceanGate lost contact with the submarine, and even the boats placed in strategic points to monitor them were unable to reach them.

According to reports, the submarine only has a supply of backup oxygen that can last for about 96 hours, which is 4 days. This however created panic about what the fate of the passengers was.

A rescue team was created to find the submarine, but all efforts have proved abortive. Meanwhile, the rescue team have disclosed that they do not have enough resources to bring the submarine back up from the level it has reached at the bottom of the sea, even if they find it.

Though on Tuesday, the rescue team reported that they heard banging sounds in 30 minute intervals, which could mean the passengers are still alive, and they are looking for an escape route.

There was speculation that the submarine may be deep down on the floor of the ocean, but it may not be so since the submarine was designed to float instead of sinking. They also said maybe they went directly into the Titanic, which could be the reason the submarine cannot be found.

After several days of searching for the submarine, it was later reported on Thursday that the Titan, by now, had run out of oxygen and the outcome was likely to be unfortunate.

However, it was later reported yesterday by the US Coast Guard that a debris field was found within the area by a remotely operated vehicle near the Titanic wreck. Apparently, the submarine had imploded and all the five passengers died instantly.

The submarine was controlled by a wireless Logitech gaming controller from 2010. Moreover, the submarine was built in a way that the people inside it cannot open it unless someone opens it from the outside. It had no tracking system.
