Tony Blair pays a visit to Bola Tinubu

Former United Kingdom Prime Minister, Tony Blair paid a visit to the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He arrived in Nigeria yesterday, Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
He held a meeting with the incoming president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu.

This was revealed on the twitter page of the president-elect yesterday. He mentioned the reason behind the visit.

He revealed that this visit was so that they could discuss things of common interest between Nigeria and the Tony Blair Institute for Good Governance,

The Tony Blair Institute is an institute which is owned and founded by Tony Blair who is the former UK Prime Minister.

The meeting took place at the Defence House in Abuja yesterday.

He also revealed they discussed how Nigeria cam benefit from the work that the institute is doing.

In this midst of this, preparations for the swearing-in / inauguration of the President-elect Bola Tinubu is in progress.

The inauguration will be taking place on the 29th of May, 2023 which is next Monday.

Recall the president of the United States, Joe Biden, has announced announced names of the delegation he is sending to attend the inauguration. The team consists of 9 people who will attend the inauguration of Bola Tinubu.


The event will take place at Eagle Square, in Abuja.

Many world leaders will be in attendance as well.
