Dr. Muhammad Tukur Sani Jangebe, Zamfara State Commissioner for Religious Affairs and Imam Head of the Islamic Organization's Jumu'at Mosque in Gusau, the state capital, has urged the federal government to comply with the Academy of University Staff Union's request (ASUU).

Sheikh Jangebe informed Gusau of this after he had answered reporters' queries.According to him, the strike has wreaked havoc on the country's education and learning system among students and teachers.

"The federal government should consider reaching an agreement with ASUU and sending our children back to their colleges to finish their education. Everyone recognizes that teachers' contributions to nation building cannot be emphasized," he said, urging the government to devise a strategy to raise their morale.

He also encouraged parents and teachers from a variety of educational institutions to pray more.Sheriff Imam also encouraged the federal government to look at education college ultimatums in order to prevent the country's education system from collapsing.
