The video of the so-called "unknown gunmen" (UGM) parading through a market in Abia State is going viral.

About 50 armed men marched through the Ariaria Market in Aba in the footage, which was purportedly filmed on Wednesday.

They were all wearing masks and carrying AK-47s, shotguns, machetes, axes, knives, and charms.

The gang allegedly warned the traders that if the sit-at-home order was not followed, they would resort to violence.People were not allowed to come out on a number of days in May. On Mondays, Nnamdi Kanu court days (17, 18, and 26), Children's Day (27), Inauguration Day (previously Democracy Day) on the 29th, and Biafra Day are among them (30).

The military claims that UGM and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are the same.

The Nigerian Army announced on Tuesday that IPOB ESN members killed two soldiers in Imo State on Saturday.

The victims were named as retired Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Audu Linus and Private Gloria Matthew, according to Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu's statement.

The couple were ambushed, tortured, and killed while on their way to their customary wedding.

"The deep-seeded hatred, despair, and lawlessness with which IPOB/ESN foot soldiers have unleashed horror on Ndigbo," Nwachukwu observed.

The attack "clearly portrays callousness, impenitence, and is unquestionably a brazen act of terrorism conducted by IPOB/ESN," according to the General.
