Nsmnews has learned that three siblings were discovered dead inside a parked car they were playing in in the Owode Elede neighbourhood of Ikorodu.

Oliseh, Daniel, and Destiny Egba, three, six, and eight years old, were thought to have died of suffocation on Thursday evening.

They were said to have gotten into a parked Hyundai Accent automobile with the registration number BDG404CL to play at 16, Gbamire Street, Owode Elede, and were unable to exit.

It was discovered that while playing, the children of Lorita Azibato, who lived at 2 Gbamire Street, had walked inside the complex where the vehicle was parked.

It's unclear how long they were inside the vehicle before the car's owner's visitors discovered their corpses.

They were completely unaware that they were in the truck. They were discovered by some visitors who had come to see the owner and were admiring the car.

Their mother had not returned from the market when their remains were taken out at 7 p.m. Because her neighbors did not have her phone number, police had to wait until she returned home around 11:30 p.m. to inform her.

The children were apparently not in the care of anyone else, a source said. The person in charge of them would have looked for them before their mother returned from the market.

SP: Benjamin Hundeyin, a police spokesman, confirmed the incident, saying that operatives attached to Owode Onirin received information around 7 p.m. on Thursday that the young siblings were found lifeless inside the car.

Investigators arrived on the spot right away, secured it for investigation, and evacuated the bodies to the mortuary.
