On Saturday, July 1, Elon Musk shockingly announced the limitations on the number of tweets allowed to be read daily by each user. He said, "To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits."

"- Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day
- Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day
- New unverified accounts to 300/day"

Following the announcements, a Twitter user, @Official_Isaaco, called out President Tinubu to review the agreement between Twitter and the Nigerian government from the Buhari-led administration.

Recall that former President Muhammadu Buhari officially banned Nigerians from accessing Twitter from the 5th of June, 2021 to the 13th of January 2022, after he accused Twitter of promoting activities capable of tainting the image of the Nigerian government.

In @Official_Isaaco Tweet to President Tinubu, he said that according to the previous agreement, "Nigerians were told that Twitter should have at least one office here in Nigeria and remit 30% of its profits annually. It may interest you that Twitter now charges $8 per month for the Twitter verification badge alone, and thousands, if not millions, of Nigerians, subscribe to this service. This means that Twitter generates trillions of Naira from Nigeria and remits nothing to the government. The agreement was probably made before @elonmusk fully took over, and there is a need to review that agreement now, sir."

Hopefully, President Tinubu see to it because many are annoyed at the recent developments of the Twitter boss.
