Two suspects arrested for concealing cannabis in a bag of garri
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives have caught and arrested 2 suspects who were hiding cannabis in a bag of garri.
The suspects have been identified as Kabiru Muhammed who is 35 years old and Isah Muhammed who is 28 years old. They were arrested in Kano on Friday, April 28th, 2023.
Mr Femi Babafemi who is the spokesman for the NDLEA was the one who disclosed this information on Sunday, April 30, 2023.
He said that they were arrested with 20 blocks of cannabis that weighed 11.2kg. These drugs were hidden in a bag of Garri.
This isn't the first time the agency will uncover drugs hidden in strained places as they have made many such discoveries in the past.
He also revealed that 60kg of this same substance, cannabis was discovered hidden in 2 large sacks and this was recovered from a man named Aminu Mohammed who is 30 years old. He was arrested around Ibadan-Oyo Road in oyo State. He was about to board a vehicle when he was arrested.
