On Monday, some intruders broke into the Anambra Broadcasting Service in Awada, Onitsha.

The hoodlums reportedly set fire to some vehicles parked on the premises after being unable to reach the main structure due to the greater firepower of the security officers on theground.

Despite the fact that no one was killed, the shooters are reported to have brutalized some of the station's employees. Mr.Gabriel Okpalaeze, the ABS's acting Managing Director, said the case was being handled by the police.

Yes, we were attacked, he added, but we won't know who did it until security authorities figure it out. Some automobiles were burned, but we are unable to determine whether this was an act of arson. DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the state Police Public Relations Officer, stated that no one was killed in the event.

According to Ikenga, the accused arsonists were unable to access the studio, but they did destroy two of the station's working vehicles.

"A police patrol squad responded quickly today, May 30, at 4.30 a.m., following a distress call of a case of arson at the Anambra State Broadcasting Station, Idemili North," he said. The hoodlums were stopped from causing structural damage.
