The stars are lining up for Victor Osimhen as the Nigerian striker continues to soar on his career.

The 24-year-old recently penned a new contract with Napoli, extending his stay with the Neapolitans till 2026.

His previous contract was set to expire in 2025 but the Serie A giants deem it necessary tieing him down with a new one-year extension.

Osimhen's new contract extension comes with a additional pecks, designed to motivate the striker while also keeping Napoli in control of his future amidst interest from European rivals.

Before Victor Osimhen's new deal with Napoli, Egyptian and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was top of the list of the most expensive African footballers.

Mohamed Salah's market value is estimated at €65m, as per Transfermarkt. He is followed by Morocco and PSG defender Achraf Hakimi, who commands market value of €65m as well.

Burkina Faso and Bayer Leverkusen star Edmond Tapsoba and Napoli and Cameroonian star Andre Zambo Anguissa are distant third with equal market value of €40m.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Napoli pledged an increment on Victor Osimhen's wages as part of the new deal.

According to Legit.ng, Osimhen's new weekly wage at Napoli is €2.5m weekly, which translates to €10m monthly. If converted to Nigeria currency based on current exchange rate, Osimhen's weekly wage will amount to N206.6m weekly and €830.5m monthly.

Osimhen was instrumental to Napoli's Serie A triumph last season. He scored 26 league goals with 4 assists to emerge as Serie A topscorer.
