Real Madrid have qualified for Champions League Quarterfinal with an aggregate 2-1 victory over RB Leipzig.

The Los Blancos survived numerous scary moments at Santiago Bernabeu to settle for a 1-1 draw with the Bundesliga outfit and secure a place in the last eight of the competition.

The home side opened the scoring in the 65th minute against the run of play after a barren first half. A quick moment of brilliance by Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr was enough to give Real Madrid the lead. Receiving the ball after Real Madrid's counter, Jude Bellingham drove close to Leipzig's area before feeding a nice throughball to onrushing Vinicius Jr, who had stolen his way through Leipzig's defense to pick the pass and fire a first-time left-footed finish into the back of the net.

RB Leipzig mounted a quick response after going down by a goal to nil. Skipper Orban came up clutch for the away side, beating Nacho to head home Raum's left-wing cross to restore parity.

The equaliser came a minute after Anthony Rudiger produced a huge block to deny Xavi Simons a potential early equaliser.

With the scoreline tied at 1-1, it was a nervy ending for Real Madrid who were coming under intense pressure from the away side.

Orban came close to extending the game to extra time but his header went wide off the far post. At the stroke of regulation time, Olmo came incredibly close to making it 2-1 but had his looped effort clipped the crossbar and went off for a goal-kick.

The match ended 1-1 at regulation time with Real Madrid progressing to the Champions League Quarterfinal with a 2-1 aggregate victory.
