Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has stated that the Super Eagles deserve to win the AFCON because they have made lots of sacrifices.
The Super Eagles team qualified for the AFCON finals yesterday after a penalty shoot-out finishing at 4-2.
Following their victory yesterday, Victor Osimhen revealed how he almost fell sick before the match yesterday. He woke up with a stomachache in the middle of the night. Thanks to the medical team, he got better before the match yesterday.
He said he is so proud of the entire team for making it to the final stage because they made numerous sacrifices before they got there. He urged everyone to enjoy the moment before the finals because it wasn't easy.
Osimhen also urged his team to stay focused till they win the cup on Sunday. Nigeria has qualified for the first AFCON final in 13 years. Their last win was in 2013 against Burkina Faso. Nigeria has won the AFCON three times in 1980, 1994 and 2013. This will make it the 4th time if the Super Eagles lift the trophy on Sunday.
