Nigerians love music rivalry and yesterday's own was fueled by Nigerian singer and songwriter Daniel Benson also known as BNXN (fka Buju).
Yesterday, 7th March 2024, BNXN posted a tweet on X promoting his latest signee Taves. A Twitter user known as Ola, who happened to be a Davido fan, quoted the tweet saying BNXN's artist Taves is mid.
Reacting to this, BNXN called him a retard saying he shouldn't have any opinion on music because his favorite artist doesn't come close. This sparked several reactions among Davido's fans and his signees, calling out BNXN for disrespecting Davido.
A few hours later, Davido unfollowed BNXN on Instagram and deleted an old tweet of his where he said "BNXN and I made a classic". Despite causing a lot of chaos online, BNXN didn't stop there. He tweeted that he would release the song because he wrote it. He added that he was only defending his artist and no one had the right to bully him.
Davido's signee Dremo called BNXN out over his statement saying he sounded disrespectful. In return, BNXN replied saying he was sorry. Though the apology was directed at Davido, he didn't sound sincere.
