Arthur Eze born on 27th November 1948, is a Nigerian businessman, philanthropist and oil magnate. Arthur Eze is the owner of Atlas Oranto Petroleum, the largest private oil company in Nigeria. Prince Arthur Eze hails from a royal family in Dunukofia, Anambra State. He is also known as the Ozoigbondu of Ndi Igbo. His elder brother, Igwe Robert Eze is the King of Ukpo in Dunukofia, Anambra State.
Arthur Eze attended St. Augustine Secondary School in Nkwerre, Imo State. He later proceeded to California State University where he studied Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. He graduated from the university in 1978 and founded his company Atlas Oranto Petroleum in 1991.
His company, Atlas Oranto, is the largest holder of oil blocs in Africa with about 22 licenses in various parts of the continent. In 1992, Arthur Eze founded his own airline called Triax Airlines. It operated from Enugu Airport before it went defunct in 2000.
Apart from being a businessman, the 74-year old is a well known political figure in South-Eastern politics especially in Anambra State. Arthur Eze is one of the founders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He is known for sponsoring political candidates to attain positions in politics.
