Pastor Taiwo Odukoya was born on 15th June 1956 and passed away on 7th August 2023. He lived for 67 years. He had his primary and secondary education at Baptist Primary School, Kaduna and Kufena College in Zaria. He later proceeded to the University of Ibadan in 1976 to study petroleum engineering.
At the start of his career, he worked with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in 1982. He retired from NNPC in 1994 when he became a pastor.

Pastor Odukoya co-founded the Fountain of Life Church with his late wife Bimbo Odukoya in 1992. Odukoya's church played an active role in social responsibility and often donated several projects like orphanages, schools, skill acquisition programmes, etc. With over 8,000 members worldwide, the Fountain of Life Church has branches located in different parts of the world like the United States, South Africa, United Kingdom etc. Apart from being a minister of God, Pastor Odukoya is the author of several books including Marriage Built to Last, The Seven Secrets of Great Relationships, Raising Godly Children in an Ungodly World etc.

Taiwo Odukoya got married to his late wife Bimbo Odukoya on November 3, 1984 after meeting her at the University of Ibadan in 1980. They have three children together, Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun, Jimmy Odukoya, and Dr. Tobi Odukoya-Enuha. Unfortunately, on 10th December 2005, Bimbo Odukoya died alongside 102 others in the Sosoliso Airlines plane crash.
Five years later, Pastor Odukoya got married again to a South African woman Rosemary Simangele Zulu who gave him two children. Once again, tragedy struck and on 9th November 2021, his second wife Rosemary died after battling cancer.
Two years after the death of his late wife, Taiwo Odukoya passed away on 7th August 2023 in the United States. The leadership of his church was handed over to his son Jimmy Odukoya and his daughter Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun as the senior pastors of the church.
