Nigerian songbird, Simisola Ogunleye Kosoko has revealed the reason why she chose music as a career path.
In a recent interview, Simi revealed that her fifth studio album will be out this year. This is a follow-up to her last album "To Be Honest" which was released in 2022. Simi disclosed that her reason for choosing to be a singer is due to her deep obsession with music.
Talking about her relationship with her singer husband Adekunle Gold, she revealed that she has never charged him for all the collaborations they have ever done. She once said she could never marry a singer like her but along the line, she fell in love and got married to Adekunle Gold. She revealed that her husband asked her out on Facebook before they met and she never knew he could sing. She only knew him as a graphic designer back then.
Simi described herself as a feminist who advocates for women's right to choose. She said women should be able to make choices without fear of being judged. Simi said, "If you wanna be a stay-at-home mom, let it be your choice. If you want to be a submissive wife, let it be your choice. If you want to be a slay mama or a boardroom beast, let it be your choice."
