The wife of the deceased Kwara monarch who was abducted by the same gunmen who murdered her husband finally regains freedom.
Recall that unknown gunmen attacked Koro in Ekiti LGA, on February 1st, 2024, killed Olukoro of Koro, Gen. Segun Aremu (Rtd), and kidnapped his wife and two others in Kwara State.
The kidnappers demanded N100M ransom for the release of the victims kidnapped the night the traditional ruler was killed including the wife of the traditional ruler.
According to reports, the Kwara Joint Security Team has arrested the killers of the Olukoro of Koro, Gen. Segun Aremu, and rescued his wife. The security team arrested the leader of the kidnap gang, Pa Olowofela of Ekiti State. He was arrested in Ijowa Ekiti, Ajoni LCDA.
It was also revealed that Olowofela and his gang are equally responsible for the murder of the kings murdered in Ekiti; Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin, the Olumojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Samuel Olatunde Olusola.
