Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has shown irritation over comedian Ayo Makun popularly known as AY's recent video explaining the motive behind calling his daughter a dog.
In a lengthy video, AY addressed the snide remarks thrown at him by Seun Kuti over his video. In a video made by AY a few months ago, he was seen recreating how Seun Kuti slapped a policeman. That couldn't have triggered Seun Kuti if not for a part in the video where AY portrayed Kuti's daughter as a dog.
To keep things civil, AY said he didn't intend to portray his daughter as a dog in the video and the scene was directed at chef Hilda Baci who received backlash for eating dog meat at the time.

Seun Kuti said he cannot believe AY and his "dry comedy" team sat down and decided to make a video about him and use his pain to their own advantage. Seun Kuti claimed AY used his experience to mock his disapproval over the Obidients movement.
He said, "They must have said to themselves, 'How do we use his trials and tribulations to make our Obidents fanbase happy?'It was well planned and premeditated so why are you being a coward?" He said they are proudly supporting a man who said poor people have no business with education. Seun Kuti said after the End-SARS movement, Nigerians still chose to support Peter Obi, the governor that had the highest cases of SARS brutality in his tenure.
Seun Kuti said AY is stupid for addressing him in a video and acting as if he didn't know his daughter was at the back seat when it was clear his act was premeditated. Seun revealed that he is going to return the favor by dissing AY in his next album. He said AY is free to do more skits about him because he isn't going to back down also.
Kuti said the first thing he did when AY released the skit was to unfollow AY and he had no right to address the issue when he replied to him. Seun Kuti said he is often disappointed in Nigerians asking him to relax because there's nothing to be calm about when we are suffering and smiling.
He said, "Calming inside corruption. As if your calmness is fixing anything in this world. What has your calmness ever fixed in this world? You go to church every Sunday, your oppressors are seated with you. You see people destroying the lives of your children next to you but you're calm."
He stated that he refuses to be calm and nobody can make him calm. Seun said AY stating that the video is a mistake is a lie because he planned it all from the get go and no one plans a mistake. He likened AY's act to that of people who say it was a mistake when they are caught cheating with their partner.
